YORK Co, Va. – Some lines of the 911 phone system in York County was not functioning for a short time Tuesday afternoon.
The phone lines were back up by 2:45 p.m.
The outage affected York, Williamsburg and Poquoson.
In case of emergency, residents were asked to call 757-890-3630 or 757-890-3600.
The lines were out due to a technical issue and were down for about 20 minutes.
People could still call 911, but the operator was not able to talk back to them.
