BERTIE COUNTY, N.C. – The Bertie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 27-year-old man was shot at a party on July 31 and later died at the hospital.
According to Bertie County authorities, around 2:45 a.m. that morning, the BCSO received a call about a shooting at a party on Morning Road Extension in Windsor.
A short time later, a man, identified as 27-year-old Alexander Lee III, was taken to Vidant Bertie Hospital in a private vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
