Get free ice cream in Norfolk on August 9, help The Salvation Army raise $10,000

NORFOLK, Va. – The Salvation Army will be giving away free ice cream scoops on August 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., as part of a fundraiser.

For each scoop of ice cream served Denali Flavors, makers of Moose Tracks ice cream, will donate $1 to The Salvation Army of Hampton Roads Area Command.

Denali Moose Tracks is partnering with Mayfield Dairy to bring 10,000 free scoops to downtown Norfolk.

The goal is to raise $10,000. The event will be at MacArthur Square at the corner of E. City Hall Ave. and Bank Street.

Celebrity guests are expected to appear along with Mikey the Moose!
