Local residents offered a free single-day ticket to Colonial Williamsburg Aug. 8-14

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Hampton Roads and Tidewater locals can spend a day at Colonial Williamsburg for free during the week of August 8-14.

The single-day ticket allows for a great chance for locals to experience the nation’s history up close and personal!

The offer is available to residents of Williamsburg, Chesapeake, Hampton, New Kent, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach along with their neighbors from Gloucester, Isle of Wight, James City, Surry and York counties.

A normal single-day ticket retails at $40.99 for adults and $20.49 for youths ages 6-12.

The ticket grants access to more than 40 historic trades shops and sites, guided tours of historic buildings, gardens and mazes, interactions with townspeople, and admission to the Foundation’s world-class art museum.

To redeem this offer, guests must fill out a registration form available online at colonialwilliamsburg.com/residents. The completed form and proof of residency must be brought to the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitor Center to receive the free Single-day Ticket. Tickets must be redeemed on the day they are issued, only one ticket per guest. This special offer cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions.
