Monkey bites child at Virginia Beach Oceanfront

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach Police are looking for a monkey and its owner after the monkey bit a child at the Oceanfront on Wednesday.

Police say they received a call around 10:30 p.m. reporting that a monkey had bitten a child in the 2300 block of Atlantic Avenue.

An Animal Control Officer responded and started an investigation.

However, the monkey and its owner immediately fled the area after the bite occurred.

Anyone with information on the monkey and its owner is asked to call Virginia Beach Police or Virginia Beach Animal Control.
