Richmond, Va. – Wednesday is a travel day for the Redskins, as the team will fly to Atlanta in advance of Thursday’s preseason opener at the Falcons.
Prior to their flight, the ‘Skins will have a private walkthrough at their Richmond facility, during which the team will go over logistics of its pregame routine. Tuesday, head coach Jay Gruden said the plan for Thursday’s game is to have every player available to participate to see some playing time against the Falcons.
“We’re going to get everybody some reps in the game that are traveling and making the trip,” Gruden told reporters. “Once the game gets started… I’ll make my determination on who to take out and when to take them out. That’ll be solely my decision, and we’ll go from there. The plan is [to] make sure that everybody’s ready to play a football game on Thursday night, and then I’ll make the decision who comes out when.”
