One dead after triple shooting in Norfolk late Thursday

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk Police are investigating a triple shooting that left one man dead late Thursday night.

Police say around 11:15 p.m., an officer was flagged down in the 300 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard by a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Two other gunshot victims were also found in the immediate area.

One man was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries and declined further treatment. Another victim was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Both are expected to fully recover.

The third victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity will not be released until next of kin is notified.

This shooting is being investigated as a homicide and malicious wounding investigation.
