First Warning Forecast: Heat advisory remains in effect for Sunday

Posted

*Heat Advisory in effect until 8:00 pm Sunday*

The First Warning Storm Team is tracking dangerous heat for Sunday.

A sultry night in store with lows in the upper 70s.

We will continue to see mostly dry conditions on Sunday, all thanks in part to a high pressure system off to our east. This high pressure is blocking any cold fronts from crossing the region. Highs will skyrocket into the mid to upper 90s. If you have to do anything outside, try to plan it in the morning hours. Heat index values will range from 105° to 115°. Heat Index values will peak between noon and 6:00 pm. A mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. A stray pop-up shower however, is possible in the afternoon.

The heat and humidity continues into next week, with rain chances increasing by midweek. Take it easy out there. Drink plenty of water!

Enjoy your Sunday !
