Four U.S. swimmers, including Ryan Lochte, were robbed at gunpoint Saturday, the U.S. Olympic Committee said after initially denying that Lochte was robbed.

The four swimmers, who also included Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen, were robbed by individuals posing as police officers as they headed to the Olympic Village, USOC spokesman Patrick Sandusky said.

“All four athletes are safe and cooperating with authorities,” Sandusky said.
