HAMPTON, Va. - A 22-year-old Hampton man has been arrested in connection to a home invasion that occurred on Sunday.
Hampton Police responded to the home invasion call at 8:15 p.m.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, 22-year-old Jamell Edward Tolliver, and another suspect knocked on the door of the 19-year-old victim's home in the 1st block of Sacramento Drive.
When the victim answered, Tolliver reportedly pulled out a gun and entered the home with the other suspect while demanding money from the victim.
After obtaining the cash and a gaming system, both suspects ran from the house.
No one was injured.
The victim, who asked News 3 to protect his identity out of fear for his safety, says the two met at the Patrick Henry Mall about a week prior to the crime.
They arranged the meeting on Craigslist so they could exchange video game systems.
The victim says Tolliver stole back the Xbox One that was given to him in the exchange.
Tolliver was identified and taken into custody in the City of Newport News without incident and the firearm used during the incident was recovered.
He has been charged with one count of Breaking and Entering with the Intent to Commit a Felony, one count of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, three counts of Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and one count of Abduction.
The second suspect has not yet been identified. He is described as a black male, approximately 22-24 years of age with short hair. He was last observed wearing a black t-shirt with an unknown emblem on it and denim jeans.
