HAMPTON, Va. - A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot Saturday night.
Police were called to the 300 block of West Mercury Boulevard around 7:20 p.m. on a report of shots fired.
When officials arrived, they found one man with life threatening injuries.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
He has been identified as 24-year-old Robert Lee Anderson of Newport News.
Hampton investigators are working to determine why Anderson was shot.
