Portsmouth Police investigating 3 separate shootings

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Portsmouth Police are investigating three shootings that happened within less than two hours Sunday night.

Police were first called to the 900 block of Florida Avenue just before 8:30 p.m.

They say a man was shot in the lower part of his body and taken to the hospital. He is expected to be okay.

Then at 9:50 p.m., police were called to the 400 block of Long Pointe Boulevard, where they found a man shot in the leg. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At 10:06 p.m., Portsmouth Police were called to Facenda’s Night Club, at 2880 Airline Boulevard. Once on scene, they found a teenager suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

No suspect information is available in any of the shootings.

Police say the incidents are not related.
