CHESAPEAKE, Va. – A car hit a home in the 2900 block of Berkley Avenue following a police chase.

On August 26 around 4:30 p.m., an officer saw a vehicle that matched the description of a stolen car in the area of Berkley Avenue near the Norfolk city line.

As the officer turned around to investigate, the drive of the car sped off while the police car approached.

The suspect vehicle was involved in multiple accidents on Berkley Avenue during the pursuit. Officers eventually caught up to the suspect vehicle after it struck additional vehicles and a house.

No citizens or officers were injured.

Medics drove the suspect for what appear to be non-life threatening injuries to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

The suspect has charges filed for grand larceny, hit and run, felony eluding and driving on a revoked license.
