Taneisha C. Bishop – arrested in connection with fatal hit-and-run
NORFOLK, Va. – A woman was arrested Saturday afternoon in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a 61-year-old man dead Friday night.
Dennis R. Brown was struck on Tidewater Drive when he was walking away from his home on Goff Street around 9 p.m.,
The vehicle that hit him drove away.
Brown was found unconscious in the road and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
After searching the surrounding area Saturday for the hit-and-run vehicle, detectives located the car and charged the driver, 29-year-old Taneisha C. Bishop, with felony hit-and-run.
Bishop is being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
