UPDATE: Richard L. Barton Jr. was found safe shortly after the alert reporting him missing was issued.

YORK COUNTY, Va. – Authorities in York County are looking for a 74-year-old man with Alzheimer’s who was reported missing from his home around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.
Richard L. Barton Jr. left his home in the 100 block of Heron Court and it appears he drove off in his 2002 maroon/red Toyota Tundra pickup truck (Virginia license plate ‘JER-1187’.)
He has been known to frequent Wawa and Walmart stores.
Barton is a 74-year-old white male, 6 feet tall, 230 pounds with brownish/gray hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who sees Barton is asked to call 911.
