SUFFOLK, Va. – A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a rape investigation in Suffolk.
Suffolk Police say 51-year-old John Blount Jr. was arrested on Tuesday and charged with Statutory Rape related to an incident that occurred on September 5 and involved a 14-year-old female.
The victim and suspect were known to each other, according to police.
Blount is being held at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
