Virginia Beach, Va. - Landstown (3-0) used an offensive onslaught to stump Tallwood's (1-2) momentum. After a Lions win over Kellam last week, they were looking to spoil the Eagles undefeated record. Instead, junior quarterback Brent Stukes ran for two touchdowns and passed for another two en route to a 32-12 victory over Tallwood.
The last time these two teams met in 2015, Tallwood edged out Landstown 21-16. With a healthier team than last seasons, the Eagles had a balanced, cohesive attack to supplant the Lions momentum.
"We improved so much on the little things, that we didn't do, and the kids were more in tune to what Tallwood was doing," says Landstown head coach Tommy Reamon.
Landstown is one of four undefeated teams remaining in the beach district, and head to Green Run next Friday.
