NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Food Lion has partnered with Virginia Peninsula Food Bank to renovate The Needs Network, a local Newport News pantry.
Food Lion will remodel the pantry and stock the shelves at more than 30 local pantries in celebration of Feeding America’s Hunger Action Month.
On September 7, Food Lion provided The Needs Network with 10,000 meals to feed children, adults and seniors who are at risk of hunger.
The renovation and donations are part of Food Lion’s second annual “The Great Pantry Makeover.”
The Needs Network has been in the area since 1995.
