Vehicle crashes and occupants run after Chesapeake Police pursuit

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Police were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.

The pursuit began at I-464 and Poindexter St. and it ended when the vehicle crashed into another vehicle at Military Highway and I-464.

The suspect and driver of the stolen vehicle got out of the car and fled the scene on foot, according to police.

The two occupants of the vehicle that was hit were transported to Sentara Norfolk General for injuries.

There is no further information at this time on the condition of the people sent to the hospital or on the whereabouts of the occupants of the stolen vehicle.
