LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – Monday, one day after falling to 0-and-2 on the season, the Redskins placed starting nose tackle Kedric Golston, the team’s longest-tenured player, on the Reserve/Injured list. Golston, in his 11th season with the ‘Skins, suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys.

In another transaction Monday, Washington released linebacker Lynden Trail from its practice squad. Trail, a Norfolk State product, was signed, released and later re-signed to the Redskins practice squad last season. The undrafted free agent has yet to appear in an NFL game.
