ODU to open a new restaurant-style dining commons

NORFOLK, Va. – ODU will have a new dining commons that will be dedicated Friday at 4 p.m.

The Kate and John R. Broderick Dining Commons will open October 12 and is a 39,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility.

550 patrons will be able to dine inside and an additional 225 can sit outside!

The dining commons will have a restaurant-style environment with diverse options with foods like sushi, tapas, and Brazilian churrasco.

There will also be a large wood-fired grill and customer-facing food preparation areas with window views into a noodle preparation room and butcher room.

The full list of main dining area options include:

Bud’s American Classics: classic dishes that exude regional comfort;
Maize South American Kitchen: Brazilian-style steakhouse with a churrasco grill and rotisserie;
Evoo Italian Cuisine: gourmet thin-crust pizza and other traditionally prepared specialties;
Rice Sticks Asian Kitchen: high-top noodle bar, hibachi grill and daily featured hot wok entrees
Uno Mas Fresh Mexican Flavors: made from scratch entrees, tortillas and salsa bar
Mosaic International: tapas (or small plate) selections from around the world;
350 Degrees Baked Goods: pies, cakes, cookies, doughnuts and bread made by in-house pastry chefs and bakers.
