CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Two children were injured in a vehicle crash Friday around 5:30 p.m.
An 8-year-old and 11-year-old were ejected from a Ford Expedition after it struck a light pole.
The driver of the vehicle and mother of the children, was arrested for suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs, and several other charges.
The children injured were transported to CHKD and police say they suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Two other children, a 2-year-old and 11-month-old, did not appear to have injuries but were also transported to CHKD as a precaution.
The incident occurred at King Arthur Drive at Serf Court.
