NAGS HEAD, N.C. – A Currituck man has quite the fish story to tell after catching a huge fish Wednesday morning.
Travis Kemp landed several large red drum at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head.
By noon, eight of the fish had been caught by several anglers, including Kemp.
Each person measured, photographed and released their fish.
Kemp used cut up mullet fish as bait on a large hook with an 8-ounce sinker because of the rough seas.
Red drum must be between 18 to 27 inches to be keepers.
