Woman suffers injuries to stomach and back in Newport News shooting

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A 41-year-old woman was shot Tuesday night, according to police.

The incident occurred in the 3300 block Roanoke Ave. around 8: 00 p.m.

The woman was shot inside her home and suffered one graze wound to the stomach and was also shot in the back.

She has possible life threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for further treatment.

According to police, there are two black male suspects who were wearing all dark clothing.
