Bomb Squad called to Chesapeake gas station, suspicious package found not hazardous

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – A suspicious package was found at a gas station, according to Chesapeake Fire.

Authorities got a call about the incident at 2:10 p.m. when a package was left beside a gas pump in the 500 block of Kempsville Road.

A Virginia State Police Bomb Squad and Virginia Beach Police responded to the incident and conducted an x-ray to see what the contents of the package were.

According to the Bomb Squad, the package was found to not be hazardous.
