VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A 55-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night after stealing cigarettes from a 7-Eleven store.
Virginia Beach Police say 55-year-old Anthony Ellis James entered the store at 300 Virginia Beach Boulevard around 11 p.m.
He displayed a knife and stole cigarettes from the store. No one was injured during the incident.
After Ellis’ description was broadcast, an officer manning the precinct cameras spotted him on the boardwalk. He was approached and apprehended without incident.
Ellis is charged with Robbery. He is being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.
