VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A 36-year-old man arrested just a week ago was arrested again on Thursday morning after being spotted driving a stolen car.

Virginia Beach Police responded to the 600 block of Mango Drive for a report of a stolen car around 1:45 a.m. Thursday morning.

As the officer was taking the report, the owner spotted the vehicle.

Officers followed the vehicle to the Wawa at 201 Rosemont Road.

The suspect, 36-year-old Bryan Gavin George Murdoch, was taken into custody by a K9 unit. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of bites sustained during the apprehension, treated and released to police custody.

He has been charged with Grand Larceny, Credit Card Fraud, and Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses. He’s being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center on no bond.

Murdoch was arrested previously on September 21 in relation to a stolen truck, hit and run, and larceny that was reported at the intersection of Rosemont Road and Malibu Palms Drive that damaged five other vehicles.
