HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening that left one man injured.
Police say they were called to the 900 block of West Pembroke Avenue just before 7 p.m. in reference to a shooting complaint.
The investigation revealed that a 31-year-old man was approached by a known person who pointed a gun at home. As the victim ran away, he was shot one time.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
There is no suspect information at this time and the case is still under investigation.
Police say they believe the incident is drug-related.
