I-264 West: Downtown Tunnel open with a single lane closure Friday and Saturday, Sept. 30-Oct. 1 from 8 p.m. each night until 8 a.m. the following morning, and Sunday, Oct. 2 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

I-264 East/West: Downtown Tunnel open with a mobile lane closure Sunday, Oct. 2 from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.

*****U.S. 58 East: Full weekend tunnel closure from Friday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 3 at 5 a.m.*****

U.S. 58 East: Midtown Tunnel open with a single lane closure Monday through Thursday, Oct. 3-6 from 9:30 a.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

London Boulevard East/ U.S. 58 East: Full ramp closure from Friday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 3 at 5 a.m.

Frederick Boulevard North/I-264 East: Full ramp closure Monday through Thursday, Oct. 3-6 from 9 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

High Street: Full closure between Constitution Avenue and Confederate Avenue Saturday, Oct. 1 from 5 a.m. to Sunday, Oct. 2 at noon.

I-264 East: Lane closures between Frederick Boulevard and Effingham Street Sunday through Thursday, Oct. 2-6 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

I-264 East/West: Lane closures between Effingham Street and Frederick Boulevard Monday through Thursday, Oct. 3-6 from 9 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

  • I-664 Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel: Alternating lane closures northbound and southbound as follows. One lane will remain open at all times:
  • Southbound October 3-4 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Northbound October 5-6 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • US-17 James River Bridge: Alternating lane closures northbound and southbound. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • Northbound/Southbound October 3-7 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • I-64 High Rise Bridge: Single-lane closures as follows eastbound and westbound. One lane will remain open at all times:
  • Eastbound/Westbound October 3-6 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Terminal Boulevard Resurfacing, Norfolk: Full weeknight/weekend closures westbound as follows:
  • Westbound Weekend of September 30- October  2: Full closure from Friday at 8 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.
  • Westbound Weeknights October 4-7 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • I-64 HOV Reversible Roadway, Norfolk: HOV Reversible Roadway will be closed October 4-6 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
  • I-564 Eastbound Tunnel, Norfolk: Single-lane closures westbound October 2-6 from 7 p.m. until 4:15 a.m. the following morning between Terminal Boulevard and Norfolk Naval Station Gates 3A & 3.
  • I-264 Westbound Ramp to I-64 Westbound, Norfolk: Single-lane closures October 2-3 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

 

  • I-64 Eastbound/Westbound, Peninsula: Alternating and single-lane closures as follows eastbound and westbound. One lane will remain open at all times:
  • Westbound October 2-3 from 9 p.m. until as late as 5 a.m. the following morning at Lee Hall in Newport News.
  • Eastbound October 5 from 9 p.m. until as late as 5 a.m. the following morning at Camp Peary in York County.
  • Terminal Boulevard, Norfolk: Alternating lane closures eastbound and westbound as follows. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • Eastbound/Westbound October 3-4 from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

 

  • Military Highway Continuous Flow Intersection, Norfolk: Alternating single-lane closures as follows. One lane will remain open at all times:
  • October 2-8: Alternating single-lane closures northbound and southbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning on Military Highway between Valley Drive and Lynn Street.
  • October 2-8: Alternating single-lane closures eastbound and westbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning on Princess Anne Road, between Sigmon Street and the intersection of Military Highway.
  • October 2-8: Alternating single-lane closures eastbound and westbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning on Northampton Boulevard between the intersection of Military Highway and past USAA Drive.
  • October 2-8: Alternating single-lane closures eastbound and westbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning on Robin Hood Road between Ellsmere Avenue and Miller Store Road.
  • U.S. 460, Wakefield: Alternating lane closures eastbound and westbound on U.S. 460. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • October 3-6 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
    • October 7 from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m.
  • U.S. 58, Southampton County: Alternating lane closures westbound on U.S. 58 before Route 35. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • October 3-6 from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
    • October 7 from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m.
  • U.S. 58, Southampton County: Alternating lane closures eastbound and westbound on U.S. 58 at Rawlings Road. One traffic stoppage to last up to 20 minutes. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • October 3-4 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • I-95 Northbound, Sussex County: Alternating lane closures northbound and full on-ramp and off-ramp closures as follows. Only one ramp will close at a time:
    • Alternating lane closures on I-95 northbound between exit 24 and exit 34 October 2-7 from 6:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
    • I-95 northbound full on-ramp and off-ramp closure to and from Route 645 October 2-7 from 6:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
    • I-95 northbound full on-ramp and off-ramp closure to and from Route 40 October 2-7 from 6:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
    • I-95 northbound full on-ramp and off-ramp closure to and from Route 602 October 2-7 from 6:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
  • US-13 (Lankford Highway), Accomack County: Consecutive single-lane closures northbound between Route 179 and Taylor Road. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • September 6-December 5 from 12 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

 

  • US-13 (Lankford Highway), Accomack County: Consecutive single-lane closures southbound between Route 179 and Taylor Road. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • September 26-November 29 from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • US-13 (Lankford Highway), Accomack County/Melfa: Daytime single-lane closures northbound and southbound in Onley. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • October 3-6 from as early as 7 a.m. until as late as 7 p.m.
    • October 7 from as early as 7 a.m. until 12 p.m.
  • Route 301 Sussex County: Full consecutive closure for bridge replacement September 2016 through December 2017 on Route 301 between VA-40 and Route 642.
  • I-64 Widening Project, Newport News: Single-lane closures eastbound and westbound October 3-6 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. All work will take place between Jefferson Avenue and Fort Eustis, and one lane will remain open to traffic at all times.   • Elizabeth River Tunnels/Martin Luther King, Jr. Freeway:  Please check Elizabeth River Tunnels website for the latest closure and detour information regarding the Downtown Tunnel, Midtown Tunnel and the MLK Freeway.

 

 

  • George Washington Memorial Highway (Route 17), York County: Crews are widening the road between Route 630 (Wolf Trap Road) and Route 706 (Hampton Highway). Daytime single-lane closures, from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. and weeknight single-lane closures, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Expect traffic shifts and delays. NORTH BATTLEFIELD BLVD SINGLE LANE CLOSURE

Southbound North Battlefield Blvd right-turn lane at Medical Pkwy

Through October 15

 Continued utilities installation will keep the right-turn lane on southbound North Battlefield Blvd at Medical Pkwy closed through October 15.  Motorists should be alert to work crews, equipment in the area and possible delays.
