Police investigate after two William & Mary students robbed

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Two William & Mary students were robbed Wednesday night.

Police responded to New Hope Road near the intersection of Richmond Road for a robbery.

When officers arrived they located two victims who said they fled the area after one shot was fired by the suspect.

The victims reported they were approached by a black male in his 20s wearing a dark jacket and pants.

The suspect told the students to give him everything they had and he implied that he was armed.

The students complied and the suspect told them to walk up the road toward Richmond Road.

The victims said once they did what the suspect asked he fired one shot in the air, which is when they ran.

No one was injured and the suspect also fled the scene.
