As “flu season” begins, Walmart stores across the United States are offering free health check-ups and low cost immunizations on October 15.
According to Walmart, the event is the largest single-day health event in the nation.
The “Walmart Wellness Day” will take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will provide free blood glucose, blood pressure, vision screenings, product samples and information on health insurance options.
License pharmacists will offer immunizations at the pharmacies.
Last year, Walmart had over 280,000 blood pressure, glucose, and vision screens and almost 52,000 immunizations.
