ERT WEEKLY DOWNTOWN AND MIDTOWN TUNNEL CLOSURES AND CONSTRUCTION: Friday, Oct. 21 to Friday, Oct. 28

I-264 West: Downtown Tunnel open with a single lane closure spanning from the tunnel to Elm Avenue Monday through Thursday Oct. 24-27 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

U.S. 58 East: Midtown Tunnel open with a single lane closure Monday through Thursday, Oct. 24-27 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

London Boulevard East/ U.S. 58: Full ramp closure from Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 24 at 5 a.m. The ramp will then be closed Monday through Friday, Oct. 24-28 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

U.S. 58/ London Boulevard East: Full ramp closure Monday through Friday, Oct. 24-28 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

***I-264 East: Full interstate closure between Victory Boulevard and Greenwood Drive Monday, Oct. 24 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.***

 I-264 East: Lane closures between Portsmouth Boulevard and Effingham Street Sunday through Thursday, Oct. 23-28 from 9 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

 High Street: Alternating lane closures in both directions Monday through Friday, Oct. 24-28 from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

HAMPTON ROADS WEEKLY LANE CLOSURES REPORT: October 21, 2016 through October 28, 2016

  • I-64 Widening Project, Newport News: I-64 eastbound single-lane closures October 26-27 from as early as 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning between Camp Peary (exit 238) and Yorktown Road (exit 247). One travel lane in each direction will remain open to traffic at all times. The I-64 on- and off-ramps to Route 199 (exit 242A) will be closed October 27 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.   • I-664 Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel: Single-lane closures northbound and southbound as follows. One lane will remain open at all times:
  • Southbound October 20 from 8 p.m. until as late as 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Northbound October 20 from 8 p.m. until as late as 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • I-64 Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel: Alternating and single-lane closures eastbound and westbound as follows. One lane will remain open at all times:
  • Eastbound October 27 from 9 p.m. until as late as 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Westbound October 27 from 9 p.m. until as late as 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • US-17 James River Bridge: Alternating lane closures northbound and southbound. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • Northbound/Southbound October 24-28 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
    • Northbound October 23-27 from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • US-17 George P. Coleman Bridge: Intermittent traffic stoppage northbound and southbound October 26 from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m. The stoppage will last up to 20 minutes.
  • Terminal Boulevard Resurfacing, Norfolk: Full weeknight/weekend closures westbound and eastbound during the weeknight as follows:
  • Westbound Weekend of October 21-23: Full closure from Friday at 8 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.
  • Westbound Weeknights October 24-27 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • I-264 Eastbound, Norfolk: Single-lane closures eastbound October 25-26 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning at Tidewater Drive.
  • I-564 Eastbound, Norfolk: Single-lane closures eastbound October 27 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning at the I-64 Interchange.
  • I-64 Eastbound/Westbound, James City County: Single-lane closures as follows eastbound and westbound. One lane will remain open at all times:
  • Eastbound October 23-24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning between New Kent County/James City County Line and Old Stage Road.
  • Westbound October 26-27 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning between New Kent County/James City County Line and Old Stage Road.
  • Military Highway Continuous Flow Intersection, Norfolk: Alternating single-lane closures as follows. One lane will remain open at all times:
  • October 23-29: Alternating single-lane closures northbound and southbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning on Military Highway between Valley Drive and Lynn Street.
  • October 23-29: Alternating single-lane closures eastbound and westbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning on Princess Anne Road, between Sigmon Street and the intersection of Military Highway.
  • October 23-29: Alternating single-lane closures eastbound and westbound from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning on Northampton Boulevard between the intersection of Military Highway and past USAA Drive.
  • October 23-29: Alternating single-lane closures eastbound and westbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning on Robin Hood Road between Ellsmere Avenue and Miller Store Road.
  • U.S. 58, Southampton County: Alternating lane closures eastbound on U.S. 58 between Sunlight Drive and Old Bridge Road. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • October 24-25 from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
  • U.S. 58, Southampton County: Alternating lane closures eastbound and westbound on U.S. 58 between Shady Brook Trail and Old Bridge Road. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • October 24-27 from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
    • October 28 from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m.
  • U.S. 58, Pretlow Road Ramp Closures, Southampton County: Full on-ramp and off-ramp closures as follows. Only one ramp will close at a time:
    • U.S. 58 eastbound on-ramp/off-ramp October 24-28 from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
    • U.S. 58 westbound on-ramp/off-ramp October 24-28 from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
  • US-13 (Lankford Highway), Accomack County: Consecutive single-lane closures northbound between Route 179 and Taylor Road. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • September 6-December 5 from 12 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • US-13 (Lankford Highway), Accomack County: Consecutive single-lane closures southbound between Route 179 and Taylor Road. One lane will remain open at all times:
    • September 26-November 29 from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Route 301 Sussex County: Full consecutive closure for bridge replacement September 2016 through December 2017 on Route 301 between VA-40 and Route 642
  • Elizabeth River Tunnels/Martin Luther King, Jr. Freeway:  Please check Elizabeth River Tunnels website for the latest closure and detour information regarding the Downtown Tunnel, Midtown Tunnel and the MLK Freeway.
  • George Washington Memorial Highway (Route 17), York County: Crews are widening the road between Route 630 (Wolf Trap Road) and Route 706 (Hampton Highway). Daytime single-lane closures, from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. and weeknight single-lane closures, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Expect traffic shifts and delays.
