BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Monarchs were humbled after a 59-24 loss on the road to Western Kentucky. ODU got in an early 21-0 hole and didn’t answer until a 53-yard Travis Fulgham touchdown from David Washington, cutting the deficit to 35-7.

The first half was one to forget for ODU, giving up 52 points and four passing touchdowns to Western Kentucky quarterback Mike White.

ODU could only muster 67 yards on the ground. Jeremy Cox led the way with 33 yards and a touchdown. David Washington went 17-for-28 for 236 yards and two touchdowns.

A brawl broke out in the third quarter, clearing both benches. The only player ejected was Old Dominion’s Jamshyer McUmber.
