Hampton Police investigate fatal shooting

HAMPTON, Va. - A man has died after a shooting Tuesday evening.

Police say the incident occurred in the 100 block of Ethel Drive.

Police Communications received calls about the shooting at 7:16 p.m.

When they arrived they found 19-year-old Travuan Rouser with a gunshot wound. The victim died after Hampton Fire and Rescue transported him to a local hospital.

Family members said he was shot in the street near his family's home.

A vigil has been played by the family for Friday at 6 where Roser died, on Ethel Dr.

Police have no suspect information available at this time.

This is second fatal shooting in the city of Hampton in a one-week time period. The fourth shooting total in the last 7 days .
