NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Police are investigating after a 15-year-old boy was shot Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were called to the 1100 block of 42nd Street shortly after 1:30 p.m where they located the teen with a gunshot wound to the upper leg.
He was taken to a hospital with what are considered to be non life threatening injuries.
Three juveniles have been shot in this area of Newport News since August 8.
There were six victims total in these shooting, three male and three female. The youngest victims were two girls both 10 years old.
