Virginia Beach police investigating shooting, searching for multiple suspects

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - One man is in stable condition after being shot multiple times in Virginia Beach early Friday.

Police responded to the 500 block of Wharf Court around 2:15 a.m. When they got on scene they found one man who had been shot several times. He was transported to the hospital for his injuries, which were considered to be life-threatening.

Robert Wilson, the victim's neighbor, describes how he took action trying to save him.

"I asked could we come up there and make sure he was alright cause a puddle full of blood on the ground. So we went upstairs, told the dude to apply pressure to his back," Wilson said.

At the time of the shooting witnesses described multiple adult males leaving the scene.
