CHESAPEAKE, Va. – A new Kroger Marketplace store is coming to Chesapeake. It will be the 7th overall new store opening and 6th Kroger Marketplace store in Hampton Roads.
S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. announced that Kroger purchased nearly 17 acres of land at Dominion Boulevard and Cedar Road for the new store.
The 124,000 square foot store will be located in a new shopping center — Dominion Commons. The store will feature 94,000 square feet of grocery and approximately 30,000 square feet of general merchandise, pharmacy, health and beauty and jewelry, as well as a fuel center.
The store is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the city and will generate approximately $1 million per year to Chesapeake in tax revenue.
