NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Newport News Police are investigating the robbery of the 7-Eleven store at Oyster Point Road and Jefferson Avenue.
Police were called to the store at 3:28 a.m. on November 2.
Employees told officers that a that a thin-built, dark-skinned male wearing all black (black gloves, jacket, pants, shoes and ski mask) entered the store displaying a small handgun.
The man demanded the clerk open the register. The clerk complied, and the man took the cash. He then demanded that the clerks open the safe. When told they did not have access, the robber left the store.
