JEB LITTLE CREEK-FORT STORY – The Navy’s Rescue and Salvage-class vessel USNS Grasp (T-ARS 51) and its crew of nearly 45 US Navy divers and civil service mariners will return Wednesday from their four-month mission to the U.S. Sixth Fleet area of operation.

During their mission, they primarily conducted Dive and Salvage operations to recover missing ships, aircraft, and tow vessels. The mission was aimed at partnership-building and maritime security in a comprehensive and collaborative manner, located in the North Sea off the coast of Italy.

The ship will return to Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story on Wednesday morning.
