SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk police are working a death investigation Wednesday afternoon.
On Thursday, police said the incident has been classified as a homicide.
Police say the initial call to their communications center was of a shooting but there is no confirmed cause of death at this point.
According to police, the incident took place in the 500 block of Lucerne Avenue.
The call came in at 12:25 p.m.
Police say the victim is 23-year-old Dalvin Henderson.
Police say they are looking to speak with Wallace Maurice Gore. He is not a suspect but they believe he has information regarding the incident.
Gore is a 51-year-old black male who is 5'7", 165 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Booker T. Washington Elementary School was briefly held on a lock down.
Because of the situation, students living in the Factory Street area were held at school.
The routes impacted were:
- King's Fork Middle School - Route 378
- Lakeland High School - Route 2
- Booker T. Washington - Route 1
The students were sent home around 4 p.m.
