Two suspects arrested after three people shot in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. - Three people were shot and injured early November 17 in Hampton.

Police were called to the 1900 block of Kensington Drive just before 1 a.m.

Upon arrival, they located two men outside of a residence with gunshot wounds.

The victims were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A third male victim was located at the Sentara Careplex where he was being treated for non life threatening injuries.

The initial investigation revealed that the third victim was also shot in the 1900 block of Kensington Drive.

Police say two suspects attempted to force their way into the residence while armed with handguns.

Police have arrested 20-year-old Demetrius Xavier Benthall and charged him with one count of Burglary while Armed and one count of Possession of  Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Police have also arrested 25-year-old Kaseon Lee, also known as Kaseon Prasad, in connection with this incident. He has been charged with one count burglary while armed and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
