NORFOLK, Va. - Police are investigating after a person was hit by a light rail train Friday afternoon.
The incident happened at the Civic Plaza Station at 140 St. Paul's Blvd. around 12:40 p.m.
A man was walking toward the tracks when a light rail train passed by. He walked across the tracks behind that train when another train traveling in the opposite direction hit him.
The man was conscious and breathing when medics arrived and was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
