NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk Police are investigating after a man was killed after being hit by a car on Tidewater Drive Saturday night.
According to police, the man walked into the southbound lanes in the 2700 block of Tidewater Drive around 8:40 p.m. and was hit by a GMC Terrain.
Police say alcohol and speed are not factors in the crash and the driver of the car stayed on scene.
Once the crash investigation is complete, the report will be turned over to the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office for review and determination of any charges.
Police have the intersection blocked off and are asking driver to use an alternate route.
