Hampton Police seek public help after teen shot Saturday night

HAMPTON, Va. – Police are asking for public help to find out what led to a 17-year-old being shot Saturday night.

Officers were called to Sentara Careplex around 10:15 p.m. on a report that someone had come to the hospital with a shooting injury.

Police responded and met with the victim, a 17-year-old Hampton male, who was suffering from a single gunshot wound.

The victim told the officers that he was shot while in the parking lot of the Zaxby’s Restaurant in the 2200 block of Todds Lane.

The victim is expected to survive from his injury.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown and there is no suspect information.
