Tropical Storm Otto has formed in the southwestern Caribbean Sea.
Otto has been nearly stationary for the past several hours, but a west-southwestward to westward drift is expected over the next couple of days.
As of the last update from the National Hurricane Center, Otto had maximum sustained winds near 50 mph with higher gusts.
Additional strengthening is forecast during the next two days. Otto could become a hurricane during the next couple of days.
