Newport News Police need public assistance in solving shooting case

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Police are looking for public assistance in solving an aggravated malicious wounding case.

On November 19 Police Communications got a call about a shooting at 6:30 p.m.

When officers arrived they found a 32-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The incident occurred in the 2400 block of Oak Ave., outside the Bronx Deli.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

Police don't have any suspect information at this time.
