VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that happened on Thanksgivingat an Oceanfront hotel.
On November 24 Virginia Beach Emergency Communications got a call about a robbery at the Travelodge Hotel on Atlantic Ave.
A preliminary investigation revealed that two men entered the business, one displayed a weapon and they took money from the front desk clerk.
After getting the money the two fled on foot.
Police say there were no injuries reported in the incident.
32-year-old Reginald Cooper Green and 29-year-old Michael Antonio Johnson have been arrested for this incident.
Police say both men are homeless at this time.
Green and Johnson have been charged with with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Wearing a Mask in Public, and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.
On October 16 Johnson was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 16 years suspended, leaving 14 to serve.
