Man suffers life-threatening injuries in second Virginia Beach shooting within 40 minutes

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Police are investigating a second shooting in Virginia Beach Friday night within 40 minutes of the first incident.

At 8:13 p.m. police responded to a call for a gunshot wound in the 1400 block of Dory Dr.

When police arrived they located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating and have not released any further information.

This incident followed a fatal shooting that occurred in the 1300 block of Hawk Ave., at 7:41 p.m.

The two shootings were 1.2 miles apart from each other.
