PORTSMOUTH, Va. -- Portsmouth Police are investigating a double shooting in the 1300 block of Highland Avenue.
Officials tell News 3 they received a call just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday night about a man who had been shot.
When officers arrived on scene, they were told the 21-year-old man checked himself into a nearby hospital for an injury to the stomach.
Upon further investigation, officers were able to locate another 21-year-old man who had been shot and died at the scene.
The deceased victim has been identified as 21-year-old Devont'e Reed of Portsmouth.
There are no word on the status of the injured victim at this time.
