NORFOLK, Va. – A bomb threat was called in to Norview Middle School on Wednesday morning, prompting authorities to search the school before students could be allowed in.

Norfolk Police say the bomb threat was called in around 7:40 a.m.

The school was not yet open at the time. Students were staged outside until authorities could fully search the building.

Around 8:35 a.m., police announced that the building search was complete and nothing had been found. Students were then allowed to return to the building.
